Auckland City Council are currently recruiting for members for their demographic advisory panels including their Disability Advisory Panel.

They are looking for people who:
- have have the ability to think strategically and critically,
- have lived experience and sound understanding of a diverse Auckland community or communities relevant to the panel being applied for.
-have the confidence to talk with a range of stakeholders and contribute to group discussions.

An understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi / the Treaty of Waitangi is also important. Previous experience with interpreting policy, project plans and strategies is preferred but not essential.

Panel members are paid meeting fees and reimbursed for travel expenses.

The panel will meet for 2-3 hours up to 10 times per year and members may also be invited to attend additional meetings or to get involved in other activities relevant to the panel’s work. Panel members are likely to spend on average 10 - 15 hours per month on panel activity.
