DPA have given feedback to the Medical Council of New Zealand on proposed changes to the statement, ‘When another person is present during a consultation’.

Overall, DPA welcomes this strategy as the beginning of a journey towards greater economic participation and prosperity for all Wellingtonians.

DPA would welcome the adoption of a strengthened disability policy, preferably in the form of a Disability Strategy and Action Plan for Kirikiriroa/Hamilton.

DPA recommends that all capital and infrastructure budgets, particularly those relating to public buildings, housing, car parks and footpath maintenance, incorporate funding for universal design upgrades within these budgets.
