Te Aho o Te Kahu, the Cancer Control Agency, wants to better understand the experiences of disabled people living with cancer.

They are looking for two disabled people to join a project team for one hour every fortnight. The people will support Te Aho o te Kahu to review available data and evidence, support their engagement with the sector and provide insights and advice on how to improve cancer outcomes for disabled people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

You can apply if you are:

  • a disabled person with lived experience of cancer OR
  • a disabled person with lived experience of navigating the health system (you do not have to have cancer) OR
  • a disabled person who can share the broader experiences of disabled people with cancer (you do not have to have cancer but you need to have knowledge of disability and the cancer system).

You can find out more about these Advisor positions on the Disability and Cancer Project webpage.
