The Human Rights Commission are currently advertising for an Executive Assistant to the Disability Rights Commissioner.

The role:

To act as a critical support pillar to the Disability Rights Commissioner, by providing confidential, top quality, extraordinary executive assistance. Working to anticipate the Commissioner's needs, the Executive Assistant supports the Disability Rights Commissioner to deliver effectively against their significant responsibilities.

This role works alongside a team of Executive Assistants who support and mentor each other and assist each other when required. The role also works alongside the Human Rights Advisors supporting the Disability Rights Commissioner.

Understanding of disability rights, the issues affecting disabled people and disability rights networks would be very valuable in the role, or the ability to quickly develop these.
