A series of online workshops to discuss the prevention of family and sexual violence in ethnic communities is being hosted around the country by the Ethnic Communities Violence Prevention team at the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).

The team wants to hear from ethnic communities, organisations and providers about the unique challenges and barriers they face and the solutions that could work for them.

The online hui series is organised to reflect the diversity of members from our ethnic communities, including disabled people. It aims to create safe spaces for different groups to discuss matters relating to family and sexual violence prevention.

The online sessions are for the following groups:

  • Women: 10am-12pm, Monday 24 July
  • Youth: 2pm-4pm, Monday 24 July
  • Rainbow: 10am-12pm, Tuesday 25 July
  • Disabled and older people and their representatives: 2pm-4pm, Tuesday 25 July
