Our Health and Disability system has a vision: to enable all New Zealanders to maximise their own health and independence. Central to that is ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders and meaningful representation of Māori, Pacific, Disabled and Rural communities in leadership roles.
The Discovery phase of this project, which involves sector engagement and research, seeks to understand what is needed to support and develop our current and future leaders, what the priorities should be for investment in leadership development and approaches to ensure equitable leadership development and representation.
The project is happening alongside our Health System’s reforms and presents an opportunity to ensure that our future system is supported by leadership development approaches that are nationally aligned and equitable.
Future Leaders NZ is carrying out a survey and wants as many people as possible from the disability community to participate.
