DPA is working on a submission for the Residential Property Managers Bill. The Bill is looking to introduce a regulatory operation of property managers – individuals and companies who are contracted by landlords to look after tenancy issues on their behalf.
The proposed regulations include establishing licensing, training and education requirements, ensuring industry practice standards are being met, and providing accountability through a complaints and disciplinary process.
