The Office of the Ombudsman is offering supervised summer internship placements 2023/24.

The programme includes a stream, based in Wellington, specifically for applicants from the disability community.

The internship is for 14 weeks and interns will:

  • gain valuable work experience
  • develop a deeper understanding of the Chief Ombudsman's work
  • collaborate in supportive teams within a dynamic environment.

The internship roles are for up to 37.5 hours per week, with a break between the end-of-year public holidays.

Flexible working: flexibility and accommodations will be considered, such as remote working and compressed hours in line with the Flexible Working Policy.
