Project Coordinator

The Electoral Commission seek a confident senior administrator to join their Election Access Fund Project team. This role requires someone with a high level of sensitivity and confidence to navigate the disability sector.

The Election Access Fund is being set up to support disabled people to stand as candidates in parliamentary general elections and by-election.

Serving as an active member of the project team, the Project Coordinator will maintain project registers, coordinate the set up and delivery of administrative systems and processes.

Senior Advisor - Election Access Fund
This is a 15-month Fixed Term role.

The Electoral Commission is looking for an experienced disability expert to join the Election Access Fund Project team. This person must be able to navigate around the disability sector with confidence and sensitivity.

The project is to set up and implement the Election Access Fund, which will support disabled people to stand as candidates in parliamentary general elections and by-elections.  The purpose of the fund is to reduce barriers faced by disabled people by covering disability related costs which non-disabled candidates do not face.

The Senior Advisor - Election Access Fund, will apply equity principles and disability expertise in the delivery of high-quality specialist advice and support to the Election Access Fund Project.

There are two aspects to this role:

  • to work as a trusted senior advisor in the project team, and to effectively manage and support assigned areas of the fund development.
  • to undertake the primary liaison role once the fund is in place, working directly with applicants to facilitate their applications to the fund.
