Standards and Monitoring Services (SAMS) are looking for a new Chief Executive.
The role is an opportunity to lead a principles-based organisation dedicated to enabling disabled people to experience authority in their lives. Primarily, this is by ensuring evaluation and leadership development is lead by disabled people, family and whānau to effectively influence positive change.
Experience with EGL aligned evaluation, community-based leadership development and co-operative approaches is essential for this role.
With the creation of a new Ministry and the development of a new way of providing disability support, based on the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) approach, there are substantial challenges and opportunities ahead. SAMS has been an important contributor to the development and promotion of the EGL approach, which is the foundation of this transformation.
