Whaikaha are looking for a Connector who will be responsible for working directly with disabled children, adults and their families and whaanau to assist them in achieving good life outcomes.

This role is suitable for someone who has the ability to listen to the aspirations and preferences of disabled people and their whaanau assisting them to think about the options they have at the moment and what they could do that is new and different.

To do this job, the Connector will need to possess a good understanding and insight into disability, manage a variety of tasks, re-prioritise workload and develop and monitor their work plan and process for achieving targets. It is also important the Connector has an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Maaori and te reo Maaori and have worked in partnership with iwi, hapu and whaanau as appropriate.
