DPA made a submission to ensure that disabled pedestrians are taken into consideration for the new upgrade to Centaurus Road roundabout – pedestrian safety improvements.
The recommendations include:
- Encouraging the council to have a speed bump on both sides of the road to reduce speed for pedestrians
- Concern for the safety of individuals with mobility impairments was expressed
- Tactile strips to indicate road crossings to be included
As always DPA is keen to work with local councils to ensure everyone has access to their community.
