DPA made submissions to the Wellington City Council on their Kilbirnie and Thorndon Connection consultations.

DPA sees much to commend in both plans in the ways they focus on ways to improve accessibility for walkers, cyclists and motorists, including disabled people.

We have made a number of recommendations on both, including that separate cycle lanes are created where shared paths are planned, Tactile Surface Ground Indicators are placed at all pedestrian crossings, and that the camber of any raised pedestrian crossings and bus stops are not too steep for wheelchair users.
