Join DPA and Youth Disability Advocate Natasha Astill for an online conversation about the how’s and why’s of voting at this year’s general election.

We will talk about the voting process, the different accessibility options and ways to vote – and first-time voters will hear about what it’s actually like to go to the polling booth.

When: Wednesday 4 October, 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Where: Online – Zoom
RSVP: email comms@dpa.org.nz and we will send a link to the event

NZSL interpreters will be available. Please let us know if you have any additional accessibility requirements.

Natasha will share her experience as a first-time voter who took a support person with her into the voting booth in the last election.

A representative from the Electoral Commission will talk with us about the process from enrolling to voting at the polling booth and everything in between.

There will also be time to ask any questions you have about the voting process. If you like, you can email questions ahead of time to: comms@dpa.org.nz
