Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa is doing an online survey about what New Zealanders think of the arts and ngā toi Māori (Māori arts), how they participate in the arts and ngā toi, and how it affects them.

The arts and ngā toi includes crafts and objects, dance, literature, music, theatre, visual arts (like painting, drawing, and photography), ngā toi Māori (Māori arts, like weaving and carving), and Pacific arts.

Creative NZ want Deaf and disabled people, tāngata whaikaha, and tāngata turi to have the chance to take part in the survey. Anyone can take part – both people who like the arts and people who don’t.

  • The survey is being run by Kantar Public, an independent research agency.
  • Taking part in the survey is voluntary – this means you should only take part if you want to.
  • Your answers to the survey are confidential. If you do the survey, Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa will not know your name or email address. Your name will not be used in the survey findings report.
  • It is recommended to complete the survey on a laptop or desktop computer. It will take about 15 minutes.
