DPA hosted a side event at the recent Conference of States Parties (COSP) to the United Nations Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
Free Fares NZ is a collective for making public transport more equitable. They are currently calling for public transport free for Community Service Card holders, tertiary students and under 25 year-olds.
Last Saturday DPA held a Bubble Hui to discuss what has happened so far towards the establishment of the new ministry for disabled people and hopes for the ministry in the future.
The Establishment Unit has put out a brochure that includes key information they think people need to know before the new Ministry starts on the 1 July, as well as the offer to have a say on what you think the new Ministry should work on once it begins.
