New report: What Makes a Good Life for Disabled Children and Young People?
As part of the Office of the Children’s Commissioner engagement with children and young people for their What Makes a Good Life? report, they heard from 474 disabled children and young people through survey and face-to-face engagements.
Making New Zealand Accessible, a design for effective accessibility legislation - explainer session recording
The Access Alliance held an online follow-up explainer and Q&A session to go through the report the day before Hon Carmel Sepuloni, Minister for Disability Issues announced that the Government will introduce accessibility legislation into Parliament by July 2022.
Film invitation for immunocompromised community
A small team of filmmakers (Lee Gingold, Simon Blackwell and George Parker-Brien) are creating a series of short films, currently titled ‘Visible Voices’, which aim to highlight the lives of immunocompromised people living in Aotearoa throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
