DPA have sent a briefing to incoming Mayors, Chairs and Councillors in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
The briefing outlines five key issues facing disabled people in the local government space around the country and gives recommendations on each of:
- Accessibility of Council services, communications and buildings
- Public transport
- Housing
- Climate change
- Community engagement
